The All India Students Association returned to Jantar Mantar in Delhi, demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner amid the ongoing SIR controversy.
The All India Students Association (AISA) staged a fresh protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, reiterating its demand that the Chief Election Commissioner step down. The gathering was organized as part of the broader SIR row that has been drawing attention across the country.
Activists assembled at the historic protest site, holding placards and chanting slogans that called for the CEC’s resignation. Their demand was framed as a response to what they described as irregularities linked to the ongoing controversy, though specific allegations were not detailed in the statement released at the venue.
The protest marks AISA’s return to Jantar Mantar after a brief hiatus, underscoring the student body’s intention to keep the issue in the public eye. No official comment from the Election Commission was recorded at the time of the demonstration.
