The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) will host its 36th national conference in Telangana and has announced its participation in the anti‑SIR protests scheduled for October 23.
The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has confirmed that its 36th national conference will be convened in the state of Telangana. Organisers said the gathering will bring together farmer leaders, activists and policy experts to discuss agrarian issues and the implementation of recent agricultural reforms.
In a related move, AIKS announced that its delegates will join the anti‑SIR (State Implementation of Reforms) protests slated for October 23. The protests are part of a broader farmer movement opposing the new regulations that they say threaten livelihoods.
The conference and the protest participation underscore AIKS's strategy of combining policy dialogue with street‑level action to press the central and state governments for more farmer‑friendly measures.
