AICWA Rejects BMC's Entertainment Tax Increase, Meets City Official

The Association of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (AICWA) has formally opposed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) proposal to increase the entertainment tax. The body met with a senior BMC official at the municipal headquarters to present its concerns. AICWA warned that the hike could hurt the city's entertainment sector and reduce consumer spending. The BMC representative acknowledged the feedback and said the corporation would review the proposal before finalizing it.
