Actress Niti Taylor has publicly alleged that a Telugu film director engaged in casting‑couch behavior, as reported by RVCJ Media.
Actress Niti Taylor has come forward with allegations that a director in the Telugu film industry demanded sexual favors in exchange for acting opportunities. The claim was first reported by RVCJ Media, which cited Taylor's statements without providing the director's name. Taylor said the alleged misconduct is part of a broader pattern of exploitation that she has witnessed in the industry.
The actress has not disclosed any specific incidents or dates, but she indicated that the behavior she described is commonly referred to as "casting couch" in entertainment circles. She called for a thorough investigation and urged other victims to speak out.
Industry observers note that such allegations often trigger discussions about workplace safety and power dynamics in regional cinema. No official response from the accused director or his representatives has been recorded as of now.
Legal experts suggest that if the claims are substantiated, they could lead to criminal proceedings under existing sexual harassment laws. Meanwhile, the film fraternity is watching closely for any developments that may affect ongoing projects.
RVCJ Media reiterated that it is monitoring the story for further updates, emphasizing the need for due process and respect for all parties involved.
