Students of Khordha Women’s College staged a protest after the administration rejected six nominations, a move opposed by the ABVP student wing.

Students at Khordha Women’s College in Odisha assembled outside the campus to demonstrate against the college’s decision to reject six nominations for student bodies. The protest was organized by members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who argued that the rejection violated established student election procedures.

ABVP representatives said the six nominations had been submitted in accordance with the college’s own guidelines and that the sudden disqualification appeared arbitrary. They called for the reinstatement of the nominations and demanded that the college administration provide a clear rationale for its action.

College officials, while acknowledging the students’ concerns, maintained that the nominations were examined by the internal committee and found non‑compliant with certain eligibility criteria. The administration has announced a meeting with student leaders to discuss the matter further, but a final decision has not yet been communicated.
