Bollywood star Aamir Khan met Maharashtra politician Raj Thackeray, saying the meeting was rooted in a long‑standing childhood friendship and a recent family celebration.
Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood’s most prominent actors, recently sat down with Maharashtra leader Raj Thackeray. The meeting, confirmed by both parties, was described as a personal reunion rather than a political engagement.
Both men recalled that their relationship dates back to their school days, when they lived in the same neighbourhood and shared common interests. Over the years, the bond has endured despite their divergent career paths in cinema and politics.
The immediate trigger for the gathering, according to statements released, was a family milestone in Khan’s life. While details of the occasion were not disclosed, Khan indicated that the celebration provided a natural moment to reconnect with old friends.
The encounter underscores how personal histories can intersect across India’s entertainment and political spheres, offering a glimpse into the private networks that often remain out of the public eye.
