Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray asserted that political opposition does not oppose development, stressing that criticism is directed at specific policies rather than progress itself.
Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray addressed the media on Thursday, stating that the state's political opposition is not opposed to development initiatives. He emphasized that while parties may critique certain projects, their stance does not equate to a rejection of progress.
Thackeray highlighted recent infrastructure and urban renewal schemes, noting that they are essential for the state's growth. He urged opponents to focus on constructive dialogue rather than blanket opposition.
The minister's comments come amid ongoing debates over several high‑profile development projects in the state, with opposition leaders raising concerns about environmental impact and displacement. Thackeray reiterated that the government remains committed to inclusive development while addressing legitimate grievances.
By framing the opposition's criticism as policy‑specific, Thackeray aimed to defuse political tension and reaffirm the administration's development agenda.
