Aaditya Thackeray Says He Lacks Faith in the Current Election Commission

Mumbai leader Aaditya Thackeray expressed a clear lack of confidence in the incumbent Election Commission during a recent statement. The remark was captured in an interview published by India Today, where Thackeray said he does not have faith in the body that oversees elections.

Thackeray's comment adds to ongoing debates about the impartiality and effectiveness of the commission ahead of upcoming electoral contests. While he did not elaborate on specific grievances, his words signal dissatisfaction from a prominent regional political figure.

The statement has drawn reactions from various political quarters, with some urging the commission to address concerns of credibility. No official response from the Election Commission has been reported so far.
