8‑Foot Crocodile Spotted in Uttar Pradesh Village, Rescued After 3½‑Hour Operation

An 8‑foot crocodile was discovered roaming in a village in Uttar Pradesh early this week. Local police and wildlife officials responded promptly, setting up a perimeter to keep residents safe. Over the course of a 3.5‑hour operation, a team of trained personnel used nets and tranquilizers to capture the animal. Once secured, the crocodile was transported to a nearby wildlife sanctuary for further care. No injuries were reported and the village residents were reassured that the threat had been neutralized.
