25-year-old woman fatally stabbed in West Bengal flat, partner and mother detained

Police in West Bengal reported that a 25‑year‑old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside a rented flat on Monday. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim’s live‑in partner and his mother were present at the scene when the attack occurred.
The investigating officer said both suspects were taken into custody shortly after the discovery, and a forensic team is conducting a post‑mortem to determine the exact cause of death. The motive behind the stabbing has not been disclosed, and the case is being treated as a homicide.
Authorities have sealed the flat and are questioning neighbours and relatives to piece together the sequence of events. The police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward.
The incident has raised concerns about domestic safety in shared accommodations, prompting local officials to remind residents of the importance of reporting threats and seeking help from law‑enforcement agencies.
