Police in Ludhiana detained a 20‑year‑old suspected drug trafficker after seizing 514 g of heroin and an unregistered motorcycle.
Ludhiana police announced the arrest of a 20‑year‑old male suspected of operating within a larger narcotics network. The young man was taken into custody after officers conducted a raid in the city, during which a substantial quantity of heroin was recovered.
The seizure included 514 grams of heroin, a weight that underscores the seriousness of the case. In addition, a motorcycle without a registration number was confiscated, suggesting attempts to evade detection while transporting the drugs.
Authorities indicated that the suspect’s involvement points to a broader drug‑trafficking operation in the region. The police have pledged to continue their investigation to dismantle the network and prevent further illegal drug flow in Punjab.
