The Telangana State Election Commission has warned that around 18.12 lakh registered voters could be left out of the final electoral roll ahead of the upcoming polls.
The Telangana State Election Commission (SIR) has reported that approximately 18.12 lakh voters face the possibility of being excluded from the final electoral roll that will be used in the forthcoming elections.
This number, representing a sizable segment of the state's electorate, has raised concerns about potential disenfranchisement if the list is published without correction.
The commission has called on relevant authorities and stakeholders to review the data and address any discrepancies before the roll is finalized.
Election officials are expected to verify the entries to ensure that eligible voters are not inadvertently omitted.
The issue emerges as Telangana prepares for its scheduled polls, and the commission says it will monitor the situation closely.
