Police and food safety officials in Dig district, Rajasthan, raided two illegal cheese plants, destroying 1,800 kg of adulterated product and arresting two individuals.

In a significant crackdown on food safety violations, authorities in Dig district, Rajasthan, have exposed two illegal plants involved in the production of adulterated cheese. The operation was conducted jointly by the local police and the Food Safety Department in the Kathwada police station area.

During the raid, officials seized and destroyed approximately 1,800 kilograms of adulterated cheese. The scale of the operation highlights the extent of the illicit manufacturing activities taking place in the region.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident as part of the immediate enforcement action. However, the main proprietors of the plants have reportedly gone on the run to avoid legal consequences.

Police authorities have initiated a search for the fleeing operators and are expected to file formal charges against all parties involved in the supply chain of the contaminated dairy products.
