11 Booked in Niali After Detergent Found in Paneer

Police in the town of Niali, Odisha, launched an investigation after routine samples of paneer sold in local markets tested positive for detergent. The laboratory report prompted authorities to seize the contaminated batches and trace the supply chain. Eleven persons connected to the production and distribution of the adulterated paneer have been formally booked under food adulteration laws. The arrests include vendors and a supplier believed to have introduced the detergent as a preservative.
