ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੀ ਜਨਰਲ ਹਾਊਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਨੋਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰੀਬ 100 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਏਜੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਬਸੰਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀਵਰੇਜ ਤੇ ਵਾਟਰ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਾਰਕਾਂ, ਖੇਡ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਸਾਤੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਸਰੀ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਿਸਟਰ ਸਿਟੀ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਵੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
