સુરતમાં એક ચોંકાવનારો કિસ્સો સામે આવ્યો છે જ્યાં સ્ટેજ સિંગર તરીકે કામ કરતી યુવતીને લગ્નની લાલચ આપી 13 વર્ષ સુધી સાથે રાખી શોષણ કરવામાં આવ્યું. બાદમાં જાણવા મળ્યું કે આરોપી પહેલેથી જ પરિણીત હતો.
